When the Midwest Class Racers involves Brainerd International Raceway each season, it usually attracts a crowd. And the remaining weekend turned into no one-of-a-kind. Saturday’s race became a six-round Battle Royal for the Stock/Super Stock magnificence. Gene Mosbeck and Jared Hunter survived the elimination rounds and earned a spot in the finals. Mossback was twice as quick off the starting line, and Hunter couldn’t recover. Mossback took home $2,000 for his win, with a time of 10.347 seconds at 116.23 mph. Hunter had a $1,000 payday for his runner-up finish. About 300 drag racers are confirmed for the fourth Bracket Drag Racing Series weekend. And like two of the primary three, Mother Nature saved the automobiles of the music with inclement climate for at least a part of the weekend.
Saturday presented a few splendid races within the ten different lessons as well. The Pro ET elegance finals became a family affair while Uncle Mike Casteel faced off against his nephew, Cole Casteel. Mike Casteel has been one of the hottest Pro ET racers this year. He won the season’s first race and scuffled Bob Ingman on the top of the factor standings. But using the give-up of Saturday, Casteel had taken over first-place honors in the characters along with his win over the younger Casteel.
With ninety-eight racers within the Pro ET elegance Saturday, the Casteels survived six rounds of eliminations to meet for a showdown in the finals. With nearly the same reaction times on the beginning line, the pair crossed the end line with the simplest eleven/100ths of a second, setting them apart. Uncle Mike headed to the Winner’s Circle.
The SuperPro magnificence featured 95 motors Saturday, but no person may want to beat Kyle Loeffelholz in his dragster. Rodney Thompson coated up in opposition to Loeffelholz in the finals, but Loeffelholz had a great response time on the starting line and ran a near-best race.
